Indudablemente, ya hemos llegado a la era de tecnología y automatización. Este movimiento poco a poco se ha infiltrado en la manera que controlamos las amenidades de nuestros hogares. Pero han creado un nuevo producto, que cambiará hasta la forma en que controlas el hogar. No queremos decir con aplicaciones como el WeMo de Mr. Coffee & Belkin, o las aplicaciones para el garaje como la MyQ de la compañía Chamberlain o todas las demás aplicaciones que hemos reseñado. Si no con algo que entrelaza, el sentimiento de hacer un cambio en el ambiente del hogar con los avances tecnológicos.
Todo esto se trata del CUBE, un nuevo proyecto de Family of the Arts el cual trae a la vida una manera táctil, pero a su vez tecnológica de trabajar los sistemas de tu hogar.
Según la página web de la compañía, el «Cube» es un interfaz intuitivo y tangible para las casas inteligentes. Al tocarlo, levantarlo, inclinarlo y darle vueltas, el le permite a los usuarios ajustar sus aplicaciones tecnológicas como las luces, la temperatura y la música. Él reemplaza los aparatos que usamos a diario para controlar nuestras casas inteligentes con uno estético y táctil, lo que construye una relación entre nuestras necesidades humanas y emocionales con nuestro entorno digital.
Cabe resaltar la palabra intuición al hablar del Cube, ya que es el elemento central en su diseño. Sus operaciones utilizan nuestros movimientos naturales los cuales se identifican visualmente. Si lo giras a favor del reloj, puedes subir y bajar la temperatura, si lo giras contra el reloj sería lo contrario. El Cube se conecta a todas los enseres y aparatos electrónicos que estén conectados en el cuarto donde se encuentre, ya que la tecnología «wireless» que se utiliza para controlar el Cube está instalada en los receptáculos de electricidad y los interruptores de luz.
Su funcionalidad táctil y su estética sencilla lo cual provee una simple solución para las casas inteligentes.
