La organización en la casa tiene algunos elementos claves que pueden ayudarnos en momentos de desesperación que se debe a la ha llegada de una inesperada visita; también nos darán la mano durante un largo día de “clean up”.

- Dimensiones del espacio:
Las dimensiones de nuestra casa o apartamento van a determinar el mobiliario necesario y adecuado que se debe utilizar para que el hogar no se vea a conglomerado. Esta decisión es muy personal, si escogemos un estilo minimalista o un poco más acogedor depende totalmente de la persona. En el caso de tener un espacio limitado, es recomendable crear tablillas o casilleros que brinden espacio adicional.
- Áreas designadas:
Escoger espacios que funcionen para objetos y funciones específicas será de gran ayuda. Por ejemplo, llegar a la casa y tener una canasta para acomodar los zapatos va a mantener el área mucho más recogida y limpia. En el caso de familias con niños, asignar una zona para acomodar los bultos y demás los artículos escolares hará una gran diferencia al momento de recoger y organizar.
- Resaque:
No cabe duda de que hacer resaque cada cierto tiempo mantendrá los espacios del hogar mucho más recogidos. Al crear una rutina nos hará este proceso uno más rápido y no lo veremos como una tortura. Los resaques son perfectos para botar o regalar toda la ropa que no necesitamos y también para los juguetes en caso de tener niños. La cocina siempre tiene utensilios que no son necesarios, también podemos llevar a cabo un buen resaque.
- La cama y los sofás:
El centro de enfoque en la habitación es la cama, pero muchas veces tenemos mañanas apuradas y no da tiempo de arreglarla. No es necesario esmerarse mucho para dejarla nítida, pues con simplemente acomodar la sabana, frisa o colcha se creará un ambiente organizado. De igual forma, el sofá es un espacio que se presta para desorden de ropa, libros, juguetes y hasta carteras y/o maletines; al acomodar estos artículos romperemos con el caos.
- Gaveta del desorden:
Siempre vamos a tener cosas que no sabemos en donde guardar porque simplemente no tienen un lugar designado, en estos casos debemos tener una gaveta, cajón, armario o cualquier otro espacio en donde podamos guardar estos objetos que nos estorban a diario o que simplemente debemos guardar rápidamente.
