El experto, Banton-Ortega tiene los siguientes consejos: «Llene su bañera, lavabo o recipiente grande con agua lo más caliente posible, respetando la temperatura máxima que la prenda puede resistir», dice. «El nivel del agua debería ser suficiente para mantener toda la ropa sumergida».
«Agregue un detergente en polvo y remoje la ropa durante 5 minutos». «Continúe con los procedimientos normales de lavado y luego enjuague la ropa adecuadamente en agua tibia hasta que todo el detergente y otros aditivos se eliminen por completo. Luego haga un enjuague final con agua fría».
¿Y CÓMO LA SECO?
Sin duda alguna, la parte más difícil de lavar en casa es secar, ya que secar la ropa en un ciclo de calor es la forma más efectiva de matar gérmenes.
Lavar la ropa en casa sin una secadora generalmente implica colgar su ropa en una ducha o bañera para que se seque por goteo: un tendedero o un estante de secado pueden ayudar a maximizar el espacio. Una vez que se hayan secado al aire, puedes revisar tu ropa con una plancha caliente para secarla completamente.
SÍ PUEDES IR A LA LAVANDERÍA PERO OJO…
Si bien aventurarse a la lavandería presenta un mayor riesgo de exposición que lavar la ropa en casa, sin embargo, siempre y cuando tomes las medidas de precaución necesarias ir a la lavandería puede resultar absolutamente razonable.
