Estamos en plena época de festejo, Acción de Gracias está a la vuelta de la esquina y seguramente ya estás pensando en las navidades y la fiesta de año nuevo. Los puertorriqueños nos identificamos por tener las navidades más largas y cabe mencionar que en muchos hogares el árbol de navidad se coloca antes de celebrar el día del pavo. Sin duda esta época festiva se celebra por todo lo alto en nuestro país. El prepararse para estas festividades (que cada año llegan más temprano) puede ser un poco estresante.
El tiempo de decorar debe ser uno divertido para toda la familia, pero es importante que te prepares, así podrás evitar un sin número de dificultades y dolores de cabeza. Puede ser tan fácil como asegurarte de cumplir estos siguientes pasos que te ayudarán a que tu hogar esté listo para las fiestas y esté impecable hasta las octavitas.
- Organización y limpieza
Todos tenemos la famosa “limpieza del año” en donde botamos, sacamos y limpiamos hasta el último rincón de la casa. Programa tu calendario para que esta limpieza sea justo antes de comenzar las fiestas, te recomendamos que lo realices a finales de septiembre, principios de octubre. Esto te ayudará a tener un espacio despejado para incorporar todo tipo de decoraciones. También recuerda que estos meses recibirás muchas visitas, es importante tener el hogar impecable.
- Inventario de decoraciones
Una vez tengas tu hogar organizado, es hora de hacer inventario de las decoraciones. Seamos realistas, todos los años guardamos las decoraciones con la excusa de que lo usaremos el próximo año, pero la mitad de éstos llevan décadas en cajas. Así que este ejercicio puede servirte para hacer más espacio y deshacerte de esas decoraciones que llevan mucho tiempo contigo. Lo que decidas eliminar, puedes donarlo a entidades sin fines de lucro, ellos le sacarán más provecho. Con las piezas que decidas quedarte utilízalas como punto de inspiración para el próximo paso.
- Decide cómo vas a decorar este año
Para hacer el proceso de decoración más fácil, decide con anticipación como quieres que se vea tu hogar. Darle un toque diferente a la decoración cada año es esencial para tener tu espacio moderno. Elige la ubicación del árbol de navidad, la mesa para los invitados y otras decoraciones, aparte de qué detalles y muebles tendrás que quitar para hacer lugar. Escoge una gama de color para la decoración de todas las festividades, así podrás rehusar elementos. Las velas son una de las piezas que puedes utilizar durante toda la época festiva.
