Toda moda viene y va. Constantemente nos encontramos con chicas vistiendo atavíos vaporosos de los años 70, también es común entrar a la oficina de un doctor que ha decorado la sala de espera con mobiliario moderno de mediados del siglo XX. El papel pintado decorativo, mejor conocido como “wallpaper”, no es la excepción, ya que también ha vuelto a estar de moda.
El uso del “wallpaper” puede transformar drásticamente la estancia en la que se aplique. No debemos tener miedo al usarlo, pero sí debemos analizar varios elementos antes de colocarlo. El papel decorativo logra crear un ambiente sofisticado con nuevas textura y también llaman la atención con colores que estimulan los sentidos. Hoy en día el empapelado se utiliza como un adorno decorativo en áreas seleccionadas, no se cubren todas las paredes ya que la estancia puede verse conglomerada. Si no queremos enganchar obras de arte en la pared, el papel es una opción perfecta, ya que puede funcionar como una grandiosa pieza artística. Sin duda alguna dará un toque atractivo y agradable.

Si el “wallpaper” tiene un patrón llamativo y colorido, la paleta de colores que compone el mobiliario y demás elementos debe ser neutral, de esta forma no competirán entre sí. Pero si utilizamos uno con patrones y colores suaves y delicados, será más fácil combinar una mesa de madera oscura con un sofá verde. Cabe mencionar que podemos escoger colores que nos gusten del papel y aplicarlos a otros elementos como cojines, obras de arte y hasta plantas. Debemos tomar riesgos y combinar varios patrones para ver cual podría ser el resultado, seguro que logramos una fusión que romperá con la aburrida monotonía que nos rodea. La decoración es un mundo artístico que también debe explorarse para ponerlo en practica y sacarle provecho. Siempre es bueno descubrir nuevos conceptos que al final del día nos van a complacer.
