Estamos en la época de halloween, el otoño acaba de comenzar y las calabazas ya se comienzan a vender en las tiendas. Esto solo tiene un significado, es hora de que aprendas a tallar una calabaza y decorarla para halloween.
¿Que necesitas?
Herramientas:
Sierra de compás
Herramienta para carnes (¡una cuchara o cucharón para helado también funcionará!)
Cuchillo utilitario (como X-ACTO) y hojas de sierra
Herramienta de aguja o marcador
¿Que necesitas hacer?
Traza una linea alrededor del tallo de la calabaza en la parte superior. Asegúrate de elegir una calabaza con un tallo robusto y duro, así sabrás que tu calabaza durará más tiempo. Utiliza el cuchillo y presiona fuerte hasta sentir que llegas a la parte hueca.
Mueve hacia los lados suavemente y hala la pieza cortada a través del tallo. Una vez remuevas la tap, utiliza el cucharon para sacar las semillas de la calabaza. Si desea, puede guardar las semillas para rostizar mas adelante (aquí la receta).
Utiliza un marcador (como un sharpie) para marcar el diseño de rostro que deseas realizarle a tu calabaza. Una alternativa también sería imprimir un rostro del internet.
Utiliza una herramienta punzante para clavar agujeros a través del rostro trasado. Una vez traces todos las lineas, utiliza el cuchillo o el xcato para terminar el agujero, y suavemente empuja las piezas para que caigan dentro de la calabaza.
Para minimizar el peligro del guego, puedes utilizar un jarra mason y colocar una vela adentro. Coloca la jarra dentro de la calabaza para utilizar como lámpara decorativa para su balcón.
