Estoy segura que cuando hablamos del hogar todos tenemos algo en común, esto es el amontonamiento de cosas y la desorganización de ellas. Es normal tener muchísimas pertenencias que ya no sabemos en dónde guardar ni cómo organizar, sin embargo seguimos comprando y/o recibiendo obsequios sin lograr tener el ambiente recogido que quisiéramos. También pasa que no tenemos idea de qué manera acomodar y acabamos escondiendo el desorden detrás de una puerta, adentro de un gabinete o hasta debajo de la cama. Al final del día esto termina siendo un dolor de cabeza, no obstante, existen varias opciones para resolver esta tediosa y estresante situación.
Para lograr un espacio organizado es importante tener claro que primeramente debemos revisar todas las pertenencias que tenemos y hacer resaque, es decir, eliminar todos los elementos que no utilizamos o no necesitamos. Este paso es clave, ya que crearemos más espacio al descartar todo lo innecesario, también podremos ver y saber exactamente con qué artículos nos quedamos para organizar. En el desorden usualmente encontramos pertenencias que creemos que serán útiles en algún momento, sin embargo, seguimos con esa duda y nos preguntamos… ¿realmente necesito esto? También hay cosas que simplemente ya no son útiles o necesarias y hemos olvidado que las tenemos. Son estas las que debemos botar, regalar o vender.

Es muy personal la forma en que se organiza, esto varía dependiendo del espacio que tenemos y la manera en que queramos acomodar las cosas. Sin embargo, hay algunas estrategias que debemos tomar en consideración para lograr una mejor organización en el espacio deseado.
- Acomodar las pertenencias con otras que sean iguales. Es decir, ropa con otras piezas de ropa, o herramientas con otras herramientas.
- Utilizar cajas plásticas transparentes, de esta forma será más fácil ver lo que tenemos adentro. Si no son transparentes, siempre podemos identificarlas de forma creativa.
- Para las gavetas es aconsejable utilizar pequeños recipientes plásticos para crear divisiones, así aprovechamos el espacio.
- El “closet” puede ser re-organizado con la ayuda de algunos cajones, ganchos de pared y un colgadero de zapatos.
- En los armarios de las marquesinas es recomendable tener los objetos que se utilizan con frecuencia a nuestro alcance, de este modo mantendremos el área organizada con mayor facilidad.

En las zonas infantiles siempre encontraremos desorganización por más que intentemos mantenerla recogida. Para los niños también hay algunas opciones que pueden ayudarnos.
- Sacar todos los juguetes que estén rotos o que ya no funcionen.
- Poner a parte juguetes que ya no utilicen y regalarlos o venderlos. Si queremos guardar algunos de los juguetes como recuerdo, se pueden guardar en otro espacio o utilizarlos como decoración para el cuarto o el área designada.
- Los niños deben aprender a organizar y a recoger, para hacerles esta tarea más fácil debemos proveerles cajones o canastas identificadas para que pongan en práctica la organización.
- No se deben dejar todos los juguetes al alcance de un niño, es recomendable guardar algunos para luego rotarlos con los que estén usando al momento. De este modo mantenemos el área recogida y también será emocionante para el niño recibir un juguete del que no se acordaba.
Estos consejos pueden hacer del hogar uno más agradable. Podemos decirle adiós a los dolores de cabeza y disfrutar de un ambiente organizado y agradable. Tampoco debemos descartar la idea de hacer un «garage sale»… quién sabe si del desorden sacamos algunos dólares extra.
