Sin embargo, es posible purificar el agua en la casa para que sea apta para ingerir.Dicho esto, hay distintos métodos de cómo purificar el agua desde la comodidad de su hogar. Mas importante, sin gastar mucho dinero.
Desinfección por ebullición
La forma mas sencilla y económica de desinfectar el agua es por ebullición pues es la mas accesible por la mayoría de los hogares. Para eliminar las bacterias del agua es necesario hervir el agua de 15 a 30 minutos.
Desinfección por cloro
La desinfección por cloro es , también, uno de los métodos mas accesibles y económicos de eliminar bacterias y microorganismos peligrosos del agua. La cantidad de cloro que se debe añadir al agua depende de la cantidad de litros accesibles por las personas. Generalmente, tres gotas por litro es lo recomendable para desinfectar el agua. Luego de agregar el cloro, es sumamente importante esperar 30 minutos antes de ingerir el agua.
Filtros de agua
Existen distintos tipos de filtros de agua. Los filtros de cerámica separan la materia solida de la materia liquida debido a que tienen poros muy pequeños.
