El programa REMAG, lanzado a través de 24 supermercados en todo Puerto Rico, premia a los consumidores con cupones de descuentos al reciclar sus periódicos y revistas. El programa funciona de la siguiente manera:
- El consumidor debe pasar por unos pasos de registro fácil antes de participar en su cuenta de internet www.remagpr.com.
- En cualquiera de los 24 kioscos alrededor de la isla, el consumidor ingresa a su cuenta con su numero de teléfono.
- Puede depositar un máximo de 5 periódicos o revistas en los kioscos indicados.
- Luego el consumidor escoge una categoría, y organización sin fines de lucro que desee ayudar y REMAG donara $0.03 centavos por cada cupón que usted seleccione.
- El consumidor puede elegir 5 cupones entre 15 categorías de productos de supermercado, y 5 categorías no tradicionales, como tiendas, entretenimiento, y restaurantes. También puede recibir cupones de descuentos adicionales de forma automática.
- Luego de redimir sus cupones, puede comenzar a utilizarlos en cualquier supermercado participante y utilizar sus beneficios para ahorrar dinero.
Esta iniciativa no solamente le beneficia a usted, si no también al medio al ambiente, resolviendo el problema de pocas alternativas de reciclaje. También beneficia la economía puertorriqueña, aportando con cupones durante la crisis económica y apoyando organizaciones sin fines de lucro para que puedan seguir funcionando.
Es importante estar al tanto de los beneficios del reciclaje y las razones por las que se debería incorporar en su vida cotidiana.

Tengo una duda…si llevo 5 periódicos o revistas …cuantos cupones puedo sacar? Ejemplo deposito un periódico y tengo derecho a cinco cupones…y si depósito cinco periódicos/revistas tengo derecho a veinticinco cupones ese día?
