1. Despega tus muebles de las paredes.
Cuando pegamos los muebles a la pared, da la sensación de que todo está muy apretado. Aunque sean varias pulgadas, esta técnica hace que el espacio se vea más abierto.
2. Utiliza decoraciones grandes, en vez de decoraciones pequeñas.
Al utilizar muchos artículos pequeños hace sentir el espacio más abarrotado de cosas. Opta por poner menos piezas pero más grandes.
3. Cuelga piezas de arte dramáticas.
En vez de tener una «pared de galería» donde cuelgas muchas fotos o piezas de arte, simplemente utiliza una sola pieza grande y dramática.
4. Elimina las lámparas de techo.
Cuando iluminas de arriba hacia abajo, la luz se queda en un sólo lugar. Intenta poner más lámparas al rededor de la habitación para que la vista corra a través de la habitación.
5. Utiliza el mismo color de diferentes tonos.
Al momento de escoger muebles, pintura, alfombras compra los artículos y materiales del mismo color, pero juega con las tonalidades. La coherencia de colores hará que la habitación se sienta más abierta. Si no quieres comprar muebles nuevos, utiliza la misma técnica pero con accesorios.
6. Escoge muebles que no estén pegados al piso.
Cuando un sofá o una silla está pegada al piso hace que se vea más inmenso, por ende, el espacio se ve más cerrado. Puedes utilizar sofás o sillas grandes, sí, pero busca uno que tenga sus patas expuestas.
7. Pinta o pega empapelado en el techo.
Esta técnica hace que el ojo mire hacia arriba; creando un sentido de amplitud.
8. Cuelga estantes para libros cerca del techo.
Nuevamente regresamos a la técnica de extender la mirada hacia arriba. Crear un almacén de libros que se extienda por el borde de arriba de una pared hará que, al igual que la pintura en el techo se sienta la habitación más amplia.
9. Las líneas alargan un espacio.
Una alfombra con líneas plasmadas horizontalmente en una habitación la harán ver más larga.
10. Acomoda los estantes por color, tamaño u objeto.
Para aquellos que les encanta la organización y los detalles, esta es la técnica perfecta. Cada uno de los estantes en tu librero o tu zapatero debe estar del mismo color, esto simplifica tus paredes y es más fácil de mirar.
