Ikea, la casa de muebles Sueca favorita de todos, sigue evolucionando a pesar de ya ser el principal vendedor y suplidor de artículos para el hogar en el mundo.
Ikea anunció la aplicación “Ikea Place,” una realidad aumentada que permite a los consumidores diseñar cuartos en sus hogares para probar virtualmente los muebles en el hogar. Ikea Place estará disponible en iOS 11 al fin de mes. El momento de el anuncio no fue pura casualidad. Apple, anuncio un gran numero de actualizaciones del hardware y software, incluyendo una demonstración de la plataforma real donde la aplicación corre.
En un comunicado, Ikea describió como la aplicación funcionará: la aplicación automáticamente escala productos, basados en las dimensiones del cuarto el hogar con 98% de exactitud. La tecnología AR es tan precisa que permitirá ver texturas de la tela, al igual que como la luz y las sombras se representan en tu mobiliario.
En el lanzamiento, Ikea Place le permitirá a los usuarios escoger entre casi 2,000 de las ofertas de la compañía, al igual que enviar videos y fotos de los cuartos digitales. La realidad virtual es lo nuevo en diseño y arquitectura. Seguramente, esta aplicación de Ikea no será la última.
