El arquitecto I.M. Pei, quien diseñó el famoso museo de Francia, el Louvre, ha muerto en su hogar en Manhattan el 16 de mayo, a los 102 años. I.M. Pei es uno, de los arquitectos más celebrados por sus diseños modernos.
Pei, nacido en China, mostró interés e inspiración por el diseño a una temprana edad. En el 1935, se mudó a los Estados Unidos, se matriculó en la escuela de arquitectura de la Universidad de Pennsylvania y luego se transfirió al Instituto Tecnológico de Massachusetts.
Uno de sus logros más destacados en los Estados Unidos fue el ala este de la Galería Nacional de Arte en el centro comercial Washington. Combinando un drama brutalista y un refinamiento geométrico impecable en el exterior, Pei concibió para este proyecto uno de los interiores más intrincados y evocadores de cualquier museo estadounidense.
Fue esta ala la que le llamó la atención de Francois Mitterand, el presidente de Francia, que había decidido expandir y transformar fundamentalmente el Louvre.
El Museo Histórico Alemán, conocido por el acrónimo DHM, es un museo en Berlín, Alemania, dedicado a la historia alemana. Se describe a sí mismo como un lugar de «ilustración y comprensión de la historia compartida de alemanes y europeos». 
La capilla Luce Memorial es una capilla cristiana en el campus de la Universidad de Tunghai en el distrito de Xitun, Taichung, Taiwán.
