La idea de la arquitecto Janet Bloomberg y la contratista Janet Bloomberg era crear un área de luz en esta propiedad. Ellas agrandaron la apertura que ya tenía la estructura en el techo del primer piso y usaron una gran cantidad de cristal. También desarrollaron una parte para esconder varias puertas. Este escondite lo hicieron detrás de los paneles y unas puertas que pivotean. El resultado fue un espacio maravilloso que da luz a través de la propiedad entera.
El cliente buscaba tener bastante espacio amplio y blanco. La idea de tener mucho cristal fue de la firma de los arquitectos que estaban desarrollando el proyecto. El cliente tenía dudas ya que la claridad iba a ser mucha pero el cristal se hizo mate a su gusto. La clienta removió las paredes bajas que rodeaban la apertura en el medio y lo intercambiaron con un riel de cristal transparente. El tragaluz fue expandido para que entrar más luz y la claridad se ve espectacular.
Bloomberg le sacó más espacio al área cuando removió las paredes. El equipo pudo ampliar la cocina y hacerla más ancha por casi tres pies. Esto se hizo ya que en el área hay un baño cercano que era mucho más grande de lo que tenía que ser. Tuvieron que mover el calentador de agua al segundo piso.
El foco de la casa es hacia la parte central por su espacio. La cocina, el dormitorio, las escaleras y los tablilleros quedan todos escondidos. Esto causa que el arte de los dueños tenga la mayor presencia. En el segundo piso hay mucho espacio para almacenamiento ya que cuentan con varios armarios que corren a través del mismo. Esos armarios quedan detrás de las paredes que pivotean y el baño queda privado detrás de un cristal mate.
