Luego de 75 años de diseño emblemático, la megatienda de muebles sueca, IKEA, le rinde homenaje al pasado con el relanzamiento de una selección de muebles.
La serie lleva el nombre «Gratulera» y trae a IKEA estilos nostálgicos en tres colecciones separadas que representan distintos períodos en la historia del diseño de la compañía: (los años 1950-1960, los años 1970-1980 y los años 1990-2000).
Cada lanzamiento es muy distinto y tiene el significado de su época. Hay desde maderas oscuras con expresión clásica, a un estilo muy lúdico con colores fuertes, a un aspecto más minimalista con maderas claras naturales y colores gráficos», explica el líder creativo de la compañía, Karin Gustavsson.

1950-1960: lanzamiento en agosto 2018
Los diseños de las décadas de 1950 y 1960 capturan el período de mediados de siglo, abarcando líneas clásicas y maderas más oscuras.
La butaca STRANDMON, fue una de las favoritas del fundador de IKEA, Ingvar Kamprad. Ahora será lanzada nuevamente en un nuevo color.
La mesa ahora llamada LÖVBACKEN, anteriormente conocida como LÖVET, es toda una declaración. «Fue nuestro primer producto desmontable», dice Gustavsson.
IKEA, originalmente lanzó esta silla llamada GANGET, hecha a mano en el 1958 con la apertura de la primera tienda en Älmhult, Suecia. El diseño redondo de la silla representa «un futuro optimista».
1970 – 1980: Lanzamiento en octubre 2018
El sofá KLIPPAN, resume y representa todo el color y la diversión de los años 70 y 80. «Me encantan las fundas que son como chaquetas hinchadas, son frescas y coloridas. Es un homenaje al grupo de Memphis», dice Gustavsson.
Cuando en 1983 se lanzó la silla RÅANE, llevaba el nombre de JÄRPEN. El diseñador Niels Gammelgaard quería desafiar la idea de un sillón y ver si era posible hacer un asiento cómodo sin utilizar relleno o tela.
1990 – 2000: Lanzamiento en diciembre 2018
En los 90, IKEA mezcló maderas escandinavas no tratadas y minimalistas con patrones gráficos. «Durante los años 90, optamos por una expresión más natural», explicó Gustavsson.
La silla BJURÅN, anteriormente conocida como ÖGLA, todavía se fabrica con madera maciza doblada por artesanos en la misma fábrica en Polonia.

«Creo que el mobiliario escultórico de Thomas Sandell es icónico. El pequeño banco con ruedas en un extremo y patas en el otro era una pieza de diseño deseada por tanta gente en ese momento», dice Gustavsson. El banco PS fue lanzado en el 1995 e inmediatamente se convirtió en una pieza clásica gracias a su diseño elegante y funcional.
